Location & Times

We currently run five clinics, offering appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. When you contact us you can let us know if you have a preference. There tends to be more of a wait for the after school appointments and we do prioritise GCSE and A level students for these slots.

We see children and families face to face for the majority of our work. The initial assessment is always face to face. For parent work, we can often offer online sessions to support you with the juggle of family life and work. We prioritise and champion face to face work with young people because our clinical experience shows us that this is the best way to build positive relationships with young people, from which we can do meaningful work.

We see children and families at a private, quiet office in central Guildford. We are easily accessible from Godalming, Aldershot, Woking, Haslemere and Farnham, as well as the surrounding villages.

We only see families who live within 10 miles of our clinic location in Guildford. This is because we receive a large amount of referrals and want to be able to support families in our local area. We also find that travelling too far causes more disruption to a family and school life. Long distances might also mean a young person isn’t so ready for therapeutic work. We also find it easier to work with the rest of system (families and schools) when we see people who live locally. We measure this distance as the crow flies from your house to our office. Where a child lives in more than one home we can measure from either address. School addresses, work address or the addresses of family members are not used.

We send out the address of the office once we have confirmed an appointment with you. We also have a video which shows the building and walks you into the office. Some young people find this helpful, particularly if they are nervous about coming or are neurodivergent and need to know what is happening. Just ask us about this when we are planning your appointment.

Accessibility:

From street level, the building has five steps leading to the door. You may have to wait for a moment before one of our clinicians lets you in. When entering the building, there is another small step up into the waiting room. Once you are in the building there are no further steps to get into the consulting room. The room is wheelchair accessible.

The building has a toilet although this is not wheelchair accessible.

Disabled parking is available 50-150m away (depending on which location you choose).

General parking is in local public car parks. These may be busy at peak times so please do leave enough time before your appointment.
