Feelings about transition

Today’s blog was guest written by our brilliant young blogger Evelyn Sunset

This is how I feel about moving to a new school year:

  • Nervous
  • Exited
  • Scared
  • Worried

You might feel any of the following :

  • Exited
  • Scared
  • Worried
  • Anxious
  • Happy
  • Determined

You might already know which teacher you’re having, but I don’t.

If you are in y2 or 6 then you’ll be moving school however I am in one year moving up to the next.

My transition day is on Wednesday  and I will get to do some activities to get to know my new teacher.

I’m worried that my teacher won’t like me. I might then only get a bronze certificate at the end of term, when really I want platinum (you need 150 points for that!). I’m doing pretty good at the moment but I want to do better next year. When I have this worry, I can remember that my other teachers have liked me and I have done ok in their classes. When I meet my new teacher I will use some strategies to help me with the above worry. These strategies are:

1)breathing (in , out , in , out…slowly)

2)say hello(being friendly helps )

3)remind your self your friends are still in your class/year (its good to remind our selves we still  have friends )

All for today😊😊😊😊
